Mostly Healthy Cupboards Already · 13 September 2012
My wife has told me that I have been lying online again. While I might not be above exaggeration or embellishment at MediocreMan.com, I have tried to be more serious and factual as I document my journey to healthy living. So I offer this public apology to my wife (who even though I am trying to be more serious here, still wants to be The Mindboggling Mrs. Miyoshi).
My wife has always done a great job of feeding our family. She makes delicious and healthy meals. Our cupboards are never bare and they are always stocked with delicious food. And very few of those foods are highly processed. We have pasta and canned fruits. We have nuts and seeds. And there is always fresh produce, which I must confess I do not always eat in a timely manner. In fact, The Mindboggling Mrs. Miyoshi even cuts up melons for us so that they are convenient for everybody to dig into. She said not to mention the few items that are highly processed and in the spirit of bringing health to all aspects of my life, I will refrain from listing them. After all, they are very few.
I take comments from my wife very seriously and would never want to hurt her feelings or impugn her character. Especially online. She is the love of my life and I am glad God made us partners on this incredible journey. Of course, I am ecstatic that she is taking the challenge of feeding our family in a different way.
I hope that all my readers, especially my wife, know I am taking my challenge to be healthy seriously, and am trying to not exaggerate or embellish (or lie) in my online log book.

Better…I take my job seriously, to feed my family, although at times it seems insurmountable with a teenager running xc and eating like a horse, a pre-teen, and now the easy one decides no more dairy or meat, recipe books here I come.
