More Than I Can Chew · 30 January 2013
I may have bitten off more than I can chew.
Writing every day has gotten to be a good habit, but it is not always easy to come up with some new and exciting topic. I have ideas, but when I look back at what I have written, I find that I already wrote about that. (I actually even posted something with the same title and had to rename it when I found out.) Or the idea is new, but the writing is poor and end up putting out a stinker. (If this blog ever becomes a book, I might just keep those stinkers as “outtakes.”) Still, I am determined to press on. I am determined to keep writing about my journey to health.
Part of my current problem is that I am learning much, but want to stay away from quoting books that I am currently reading or maybe have not even read yet lest I find they are not supported by facts. Or worse yet, by my own story. While it is true that I can just spout off whatever I want as I go along, I do want to keep my facts straight. Especially, when it comes to running and eating. Still, there are only so many stories about eating broccoli or running a couple miles that any one person can tell. Or that any group of readers can tolerate.
I am certain that I have more stories to tell, but I do not know what those stories are since they have not been lived yet. So even though I am sure I have gotten more than I bargained for, I know I can make it through the rough times as they come. I am sure I can find things interesting to write about as I wend my way through this journey toward health. Even though I know I will survive it, I am sure I have bitten off more than I can chew.
