I See You Everywhere · 6 October 2003

When I watch the sun go down
When I’m driving through town
You know I feel you there
In the rocks and trees
In the birds and the bees
I feel you everywhere

Chorus:
     Lord you life me up
     With Your boundless love
     An overflowing cup
     Filled from up above
I want the world to see
     All Your love in me
     Lord please shine in me
     So everyone can see

In the faces I see
When I walk down the street
You know I see you there
In the earth and sky
When I watch the clouds go by
I see you everywhere

Chorus

When I see Your hand
All over the land
You know I have to SHOUT
When the singing starts
It lifts my heart
I feel my soul cry out

Chorus (2x)

Toe-Tappin' Song to Praise the Lord · 5 October 2003

Chorus:
     I want a toe-tappin’ knee-slappin’
     Finger-snappin’ hand-clappin’
     Song to praise the Lord
It can be country or soul
     Blues or rock-n-roll
Just sing it to God above
I want to sing it loud and strong
     Sing it all day long
     Just singin’ about God’s love
     I want a toe-tappin’ knee-slappin’
     Finger-snappin’ hand-clappin’
     Song to praise the Lord

When David sang his psalms
Everybody sang along
And when he got the chance
King David liked to dance
It wasn’t sacrilege
It was David’s privilege
He just wanted to give praise…
To the Lord God up above

Chorus

I always used to think
That every praise song had to stink
You could always sing along
But to dance to one was wrong
Now let’s set the story straight
It’s not the dancing that God hates
We just have to sing and dance…
To the Lord God up above

Chorus

I’ve sung about the Rock of Ages
Blessed for you and me
There are lots and lots of songs
About the cross on Calvary
But why can’t we perchance
Have a song with which to dance
Can’t we just sing and dance…
And boogie to God above

Chorus

We Don't Need Another Sad Song (revised) · 4 October 2003

My dog done died just the other day
My wife packed up and she drove away – (From me)
Couldn’t get worse then I’m out of work
Feeling so low feeling like a jerk – (Woe is me)

Chorus 1:
But we don’t need another sad song
Where nothing’s right and everything’s wrong
     Where someone dies
     And everyone cries
We don’t need another sad song

So play a new song on the radio
Where no one’s sad and nobody’s low
My son turned five
It’s great to be alive
No, we don’t need another sad song

I don’t want to sing about a broken heart
People fall in love and then drift apart – (Seems they always do)
Heart still aches and there’s so much pain
I don’t know if I can love again – (Don’t know that I want to)

Chorus 2:
But we don’t need another sad song
Where nothing’s right and everything’s wrong
     Where someone dies
     And everyone cries
We don’t need another sad song

So change the station on the radio
Doesn’t matter if it’s fast or slow
Let’s get up and dance
And give love a chance
No, we don’t need another sad song

I wrote three songs just the other day
Had so much that I had to say – (About life)
Things aren’t so bad; it’s just frame of mind
People do love and there’s those who’re kind – (Maybe life’s okay)

Chorus 2

My dog done died just the other day…
